Undergraduated thesis English Education Department Teacher Training and Tarbiyah Faculty State Islamic University of Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. This research is under the guidance of Mr. Dr. Umar Fauzan, M.Pd as the first supervisor and Mrs. Widya Novina Noor, M.Pd as the second supervisor.
The role of grammar is perhaps one of the most controversial issues in language teaching. Grammar is a system of rules governing the conventional arrangement and relationship of word in sentence. State Islamic University of Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda is the one of Universities in Samarinda that teach English as one of their Prodi.  The third semester that writer observed showed that they achievement of grammar was good. The purpose of this research was to know Grammar Achievement of Student at The Third Semester at English Education of UINSI Samarinda.
This   research   method   uses   descriptive   quantitative   method.   The instruments used were questionnare test and documentation. The population in this research were 70 third semester of English Tadris students in UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. The data of this study were collection by asking students to answer questions in a questionnare consisting of 7 question. The data were analyzed by using the mean formula. Based on the results of data analysis, the mean of the research was 76 it showed the level of their grammar achievement was in good level. The strength of student in achievement of grammar was in identified the preposition. Besides, the weakness of student in grammar achievement was in identified the pronoun.</note>
