Instructional media is one element in instructional design used by teachers in carrying out the learning process in order to attract the attention of students in creating an active atmosphere and achieving learning goals. The objective of this research are (1) To know the kinds of instructional media used by teacher in English teaching at Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Al – Mujahidin Samarinda, (2) To know problems faced by teachers in using instructional media in English teaching at Madrasah  Ibtida’iyah  Al  –  Mujahidin  Samarinda,  and  (3)  To  know  how  do teachers solve the problems in using instructional media in English teaching at Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Al – Mujahidin Samarinda.
This  study  is  qualitative  approach.  The  subject  of  this  research  are  two English teachers at MI Al – Mujahidin Samarinda. The instruments used in this research were interviews guide, observation sheet, and documentation. Then the data is analyzed using the interactive model of Miles Huberman and Saldana. The data analysis is descriptive qualitative.
The findings of this research are the English teachers at MI Al – Mujahidin Samarinda  used  several  types  of  instructional  media  in  teaching  English, including media textbooks, pictures, flashcards, flip cards, big books, realia, YouTube videos, and TikTok videos. Second, there are several problems that teachers face in using instructional media in English teaching, including a lack of school  facilities and  infrastructure  and  a  lack  of  teacher  knowledge  in  using media. Third, the solution made by the teacher includes the creativity of the teacher itself and provision of training in the use of instructional media.</note>
