Advisor; Mrs. Dina Destari, S.S., M.Pd as the first advisor and Mr. Muhammad Azwar Amir Paramma, S.Pd., M.Pd as the second advisor. In learning English, vocabulary plays an important role, by mastering the vocabulary students can communicate smoothly. However, based on observations in SMAN 7 Samarinda, the researchers found that students were less proficient in English vocabulary. One means of improving the English language competence of students is to master vocabulary by using the Word Shaker application in the learning process. The issue raised in this study is (1) Whether the use of visual vocabulary applications is effective in teaching eleventh-grade students in SMAN 7 Samarinda. The aim of the study is to find out how to use visual vocabulary applications effectively in the teaching of English language competence to eleven- class students at SMAN 7. The method used in this research is the quantitative method. Data analysis techniques using pre-test and post-test. The research population was 249 students and the sample was 72 students, XI E (experimental class) and XI C (control class). The result of this study was that there was a significant difference between a class of experiments that had a post-test value of 100 using the Word Shaker application and a control class which had a Post-Test value of 80 using conventional methods. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Word Shaker Application on the mastery of the vocabulary of eleventh-grade students in SMAN 7 Samarinda.</note>
