Undergraduate thesis. English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Islamic University Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. This research in under the guidance of Mr. Umar Fauzan, M. Pd as the first advisor, and Dra. Sitti Hadijah, M. Pd as the second advisor. Speaking is one of most complicated skill among four English skills. English learners are exceedingly needed to master speaking skill. Although speaking skill is exceedingly important, English learners always found problems during mastering speaking skill. One of the biggest problems is the anxiety in speaking skill. The research objectives of this research are to know the factors of anxiety in speaking skill and to know the solutions of anxiety in speaking skill. This research used the descriptive quantitative research. The instrument of this research was the questionnaire. The kind of questionnaire that used in this research was close-ended question that consist of 60 questions related to the factors and solutions of anxiety in speaking skill. The questions of the questionnaire consisted of Yes and No answer. The data of this research was calculated by frequency calculation. The population of this research was the sixth semester students of English Department in UINSI Samarinda in academic year 2022/2023. The researcher finds and selects 10 factors of anxiety and 5 solutions of anxiety in speaking skill. The first finding is the factors of anxiety in speaking skill. The factors are the incomprehensible input, students’ belief about anxiety, lack of preparation, afraid to make mistake, unconfident to speak English, anxiety when teacher asked to speak up, speaking in front of class, study environment, teacher personality, and unfavorable evaluation. There is another finding which is the solutions of anxiety in speaking skill. The solutions are preparation, relaxation, mindset management, more willing to take risks, and improve speaking skill. Thus, the factor of anxiety that contribute the most in speaking anxiety is lack of preparation and the solution of anxiety that the most effect to overcome the anxiety is mindset management.</note>
