Thesis, Education and Teacher Training  Faculty, State Islamic University of  Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. Advisor, Mrs Dina Destari, S. S., M. Pd is the first advisor, and Mrs Nadia Sya’ya, M. Pd., M. TESOL is the second advisor. Digital technology has transformed education. English instruction requires digital tools. Digital learning teachers must match these conditions with their roles and tools. In teaching English, there is also a need for digital technology that includes tools to support learning at school. Therefore, not only the tools but also the role of a teacher when applying digital technology to learning that suits these conditions. This research examines first, MI At-Taqwa Samarinda English teachers' digital technology roles. Second, assessing English instruction technology's benefits and challenges. Third, MI At-Taqwa Samarinda teaching- learning effects. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data condensation, display, and conclusions are used in this research. It included two MI At-Taqwa Samarinda English teachers. This research shows that digital technology is essential to learning and teaching, such as motivating students, and that teachers' roles in digital technology cannot be separated from their roles as facilitators and companions, making them easy to relay material. Limited learning and teaching facilities plague teachers. The impact felt by teachers and students in the teaching and learning process is that it becomes easier for teachers to explain the material.</note>
