<note>Jumuti’ah,  2022,  “The  Use  of  YouTube  To  Improve  Students’  Speaking Ability At  Eight  Grade  Of  MTs.  Negeri  Malinau  In Academic  Year  2021/2022” Undergraduated Degree Thesis, English Education Department, Language Education Department, Teacher Training And Tarbiyah Faculty, State Islamic University Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. This research is under guidance of Dr. Bahrani, M.Pd as Advisor I and Dra, Sitti Hadijah, M.Pd as Advisor II.
The background of this research is whether the use of YouTube can improve students'. Learning English by using YouTube video is an innovative learning system to developed and improving the English language. How to present learning materials provide material to students with a video on YouTube and they can materials understand  easily.  The  subject  of  this  research  was  VIII  grade  of  MTs  Negeri Malinau 2021/2022 academic year which consisted of 32 students. The objective of this research was to improve students’ speaking skill in English Lesson by using Action Learning strategy at Eight Grade of MTs Negeri Malinau in academic year 2021/2022.
This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research model used is the Spiral model from Kemmis and Taggart. The method of data collection was carried out and performance tests were in the form of speaking tests. Data collection instruments used were observation sheets and  guidelines through students' speaking skills tests. This research was conducted in two cycles which each consists  of  planning,  acting,  observing,  and  reflecting.  The  data  were  gathered through quantitative.
The result of this reserach showed that there was increasing of students in speaking skill. The mean of pre-test was 54. The mean of post-test 1 was 68. the mean of post-test 2 was 76. It indicated that the scores and the mean in second cycle were better than the first cycle. The percentage of students who got point >75 also grew up. In the pre-Test, the students who got point >75 up were 6 students (19%). In the post-test of cycle 1 students who got point >75 up were 15 students (47%). The post-test of cycle 2, students who got point >75 were 27 students (84%). In other words,  the  students’  ability  in  speaking  improved  and  became  well  in  the  first meeting to the next meeting.
In conclusion, YouTube has been success full in improving students’ speaking skills  in  English.  Because  YouTube can  be  an  interesting  and  effective tool  for teaching, one of which is a source of language instraction.</note>
