This research was guided by Prof. Dr. Zurqoni, M.Ag as supervisor I and Drs. H. Ahmad Riyadi, S.S, M.Hum as supervisor II.
The background of this research is that the COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia, especially in Tenggarong, requires all schools to implement online learning, including SDN 003 Tenggarong. The online learning carried out by SDN 003 Tenggarong caused many responses and obstacles that were felt by teachers, students, and parents of students. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out the problems of PAI online learning at SDN 003 Tenggarong and efforts to overcome the problems of PAI online learning at SDN 003 Tenggarong.
This study used qualitative research methods. The data sources used are primary data in the form of interviews with school principals, Islamic Religious Education teachers, 6th grade homeroom teachers, 6th grade students and parents of 6th grade students plus documents and observational data related to the problems of PAI online learning at SDN 003 Tenggarong and efforts to overcome it. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusions or verification.
The results showed that the problem with PAI online learning at SDN 003 Tenggarong is that students find it difficult to understand learning this can be seen in the relatively low daily test results, which are below the standard of completeness, improvised teaching materials, student assignments that are not done, and educational learning. the character values  in students are less than optimal, the character values that are less than optimal in the online learning process are the values of honesty and the value of responsibility, this can be seen from the writing on the student worksheets and the responsibility for collecting assignments on time. The teacher's efforts to make innovations and variations in learning, work together with parents at home to motivate students to learn, and build student character through responsibility in doing assignments and responding to teachers.</note>
