The beginning of the spread of the COVID-19 virus at the end of 2019. If previously, the teaching and learning process was carried out face-to-face. Then, since the emergence of the COVID-19 virus has been the caused the implementation of online learning or learning from home. In this case, there are many difficulties faced by teachers and students in implementing the new learning system. Therefore, the researcher wanted to determine what problems occurred and find solutions to overcome these problems. This research was conducted at MIN 2 Samarinda.
This research used a descriptive qualitative focuses on teachers’ strategies in teaching English. The source of data in this research consisted of primary data source and secondary data source. The techniques of collecting the data   are; observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis of the data is data reduction, data display, and conclusion.
Based on the data analysis showed that the strategies used during online and offline learning can increase students’ activity in learning. It can be concluded that the learning strategy used by the English teacher at MIN 2 Samarinda is appropriate with the applicable curriculum. However, there are still some students who have not been able to adapt to the strategies that have been used.</note>
